No Finding This Subject

Walking the Schuylkill River Trail yesterday waiting to meet up with my daughter I came across this electric wheelchair, no occupant.

Plenty of other people were on the walkway but I couldn’t identify the possible owner of this chair anywhere.

I then proceeded to the street above the walkway and saw a man with some baggage reading a book.

Could he have been the owner?

Was it locked?

Can they be locked?

Do they have keys like a car?

Is it possible the occupant could have been relieving themselves in the bushes?

So many questions…

So many police in the area as well, President Biden was arriving in a few hours just across the street.

I’m going to go with the occupant was in the bushes somewhere down by the chair relieving themselves…

A mystery to which a solution may never be known to us…

Church Light

Honestly the more I think about it the more I am not certain where I took this shot. At first I thought it was Dublin, but the more I look at it I am thinking Edinburgh, Scotland? I’ll have to ask my daughter if she remembers, but I was going through some shots today and this one stood out…

Girl On The Train

The Tubes, London, England

Going through the shots at the end of the day I came across this one and wondered…who is she…this woman to the right…looking out of the window of the train she sits within that sped past me…

I could swear our eyes met for an instant and in that same instant…she was gone.

We encounter people like this all of the time and typically I wouldn’t give it a second thought until that precise moment showed up in an image I happen to have taken, this image.

Early-to-mid twenties I’d guess? A grad student heading to university? Working towards a Doctorate? Is she happy? Sad? Married? Single? Kind? Nasty?

It’s all part of a game I play sometimes trying to figure people out, even if I only catch a glimpse of them on a speeding train. I can’t help but wonder who they are, these strangers who pass us by each day…

Recording the next episode currently…hopefully released by Thursday or Friday. Was planning on Monday but life happens. But looking forward to the new system, more organized, more of a road map for me instead of just four wheeling the show and knowing where I have to end up and taking any road I want to get there.

Ok, it’s a beautiful day, I have to get going. Have a great day yourself. Talk to you soon! Tony

Kilwin’s

Standing out front of this place right now.

If there were an apple taffy eating contest I think I’d clean house!

Street Survivors

I used artistic filters on this particular photograph in order to keep the identity of these bikers masked, since they are purportedly ‘outlaw’ bikers, and I understand they would want their privacy and I respect that.

I also create photographs to my liking, and adding a little something on this photo is something I’m good with, may continue with, and I’m probably going to print this one out and hang it on my wall.

Have a great day. Very happy to be back taking photographs and sharing them.

Take care, stay safe!

Parenthood

Parenthood isn’t easy. Watching these three yesterday made me think of the responsibility we as parents have to our children. Not an easy task being someone’s parent, that is, when you are fully in. It takes a ton of sacrifice, patients, understanding…it’s never ending and yet simultaneously, it is possibly the most rewarding thing I have ever done and continue to do.

This doe is drained: nutritionally caring for these two fawns has taken its toll on her, but she will rebound. As I lay here on the couch this morning staring out of the glass then back at these pics I am reminded at how blessed I am to be the father of two. A tough job, absolutely, even tougher to do it right. And then you hope and pray they become good people. I am blessed that mine are indeed good people, kind people, caring individuals, a great feeling to have as I lay here on Fathers Day and understand I have indeed been blessed with becoming a dad. Happy Parents Day, Happy Fathers Day! Have a great day!

Good Morning, People!

So there’s been a little bit of changes going on with this site. Just trying to organize things better with the podcast and the photographs.

You used to be following FindingSubjects.org which is where all of the podcast episodes are and still will be located.

You are now following this WordPress page of FindingSubjects.com, which is the original Photo Journal page I had on here years ago with upwards of 37K people following and which I really enjoyed until lack of faith in myself and my photographs made me take that site down.

But I am back, realizing that it doesn’t matter if people like my photographs or not, I like them and I enjoy sharing them, and it is impossible to make everyone happy, so with that, I was able to buy back FindingSubjects.com from a company from China that tried to turn it into a store or something, but that’s another story.

I lost all of those followers by simply pulling the plug on this site but I am now on a very cool life Journey to share positivity and inspiring photographs and stories with you all.

It’s been a dream of mine for a very long time to reach out and communicate with people from all over the world, just because I find all of you extremely interesting.

This wordpress site, my personal journal podcast, Finding Subjects helps me live out that dream and reach people in countries I may never visit.

I had a talk about age the other day to a great friend. They said to me ‘Add ten years to your current age and tell me how you feel about that number.”

That number scared the living crap out of me, honestly. Reason being, I am stuck at about twenty six years old in my head and that isn’t ever changing, seriously, and it’s kind of a problem in a way.

The problem with that is, there’s no sense of urgency with that number, it’s as if, ‘Yeah, well, I have a ton of time left to do what I want when I want it.”

In reality, that time if you go by statistics, is starting to shrink.

What does that mean for me?

Living life even more than I currently do now, while still being conscience of my restrictions, which means, lots more interesting and cool things to talk about in the future.

So hey….thank you very much for being here. I hope you enjoy my photos…this blog…and wish me luck in creating more interesting content for you right here.

Thank you for visiting, for subscribing, for following, for listening.
