When you catch a bird with a fast shutter speed you capture a lot of interesting positions. One flutter of the wings propels them from branch to branch, it’s incredible to observe.
I am not certain on my identification of this bird, I’m thinking female Golden Crowned Kinglet? Please let me know if I am incorrect so I can change this.
Flight would be one of the top three superpowers I would like to possess.
How about you?
That’s a great shot, Tony. Kinglets are really small and elusive and getting any kind of unobstructed shot of one is quite an accomplishment, even more so when you freeze the motion. It looks like a Golden-crowned Kinglet to me, though I can’t really see enough details to tell if it is a male or female.

Thanks, Mike. Yes, that rascal was quick and elusive. I was happy to get the shot. Wish it wasnโt into the sun but Iโll still take it! ๐๐ป๐๐ป

It’s so hard to get the birds to cooperate. You can’t get away with just saying “cheese” to get them to pose. ๐
