I am always looking skyward, most likely due to my fascination with meteorology.
Take this day in Ft. Lauderdale, I’m standing on a corner staring at the sky near A1A, a busy roadway. I could sense people watching me, then looking up, then back at me, but I didn’t care.
Something was happening in the heavens and it needed to be photographed.
Soon there were others looking up as well, and ironically only one knew what I was looking at and he snapped a few shots with his cell phone, looked over at me and remarked how beautiful the colors in the clouds were.

what beautiful photos…!

gorgeous…lucky you to have been able to see/photography such a beautiful sight!
Always looking skyward, Heather. For many reason!
Great pics, isn’t it amazing what people will believe sometimes? lol
amazing pictures!!
Thanks, Craz. Always looking up. Never know what you’ll see!
LOL! That’s hysterical Tony! But what a beautiful pic! Do you think that’s one of God’s bad hair days? What is making those colors, anyway? And tell the truth this time!!
Crap. I just realized that somehow when I updated the title to the post, the funny part that you commented on about the aliens etc… was deleted.
That was a funny story and the guy cracked me up, I couldn’t help messing with him.
For the real truth on what’s happening in those clouds I believe its called ‘gravity waves’ caused by updrafts in the clouds due to approaching thunderstorms, and the sun reflects off of those waves. Here’s more on that…

Beautiful!
Thank you, Anne.
Great shot Tony! I’ve been somewhat obsessed with clouds lately….it’s amazing how many different types there are (so many more than you’re taught in grade school!) and what you captured is awesome!
Me too. Always changing, there but yet ‘not there’ just vapor, fascinating objects to me as well.Thank you for your reply! Tony
