Kearny le Magnifique

The haunting backlight of the statue was impressive this particular day.

Standing still, we observed the majestic sight, almost waiting to hear the horses breath and hooves clap on the rock it stands upon.

 

Recalling memories of quotes I’ve read about Kearny, this man led quite an interesting life which can be learned by clicking on the link below.

This particular statue of General Kearny stands over his remains in Arlington National Cemetery.
